The Summerset Police Department is warning residents to be on the lookout for a re-emerging scam. Scammers will pose as law enforcement officers, claiming that people have a warrant for their arrest and that they need to make an immediate payment to “resolve the issue.” Authorities say that no legitimate law enforcement agency will ask for money over the phone. Anyone who receives a call like this is asked to call the Summerset Police Department at (605) 718-9858.
