The Spearfish Restricted Use Site (RUS) will be waiving fees for residents of the City of Spearfish and Lawrence County from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, April 18, and Saturday, April 19. Household waste will not be accepted. Regular fees apply to appliances containing freon and tires without rims. Refrigerators and freezers must have the doors removed upon drop-off. Residents using a commercial vehicle for disposal of personal items are subject to regular fees. This will be at the discretion of rubble site staff. For those needing assistance, City crews will offer a residential curbside pickup service on Thursday, April 17th, for residents within City limits. Pickup is limited to three items and applies to items such as furniture, appliances without freon, weed eaters, and lawn mowers. Fluids must be removed from all items. Branches and yard waste will not be picked up. Items must be put out on the curb by 7 a.m. on Thursday, April 17th, and curbside pickups must be scheduled in advance.
