*WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM MST THURSDAY TO 5 AM MST FRIDAY*
WHAT: Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 5 to 8 inches, with locally higher amounts possible.
WHERE: The Northern Black Hills (Including Lead, Deadwood, Brownsville, Cheyenne Crossing, Galena, and Nemo)
WHEN: From 6 am MST Thursday to 5 am MST Friday.
IMPACTS: Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS: A Winter Storm Warning for snow means severe winter weather conditions are expected. This will create dangerous conditions.
More Information: A clipper system will drop through the Northern Plains on Thursday producing an extended period of upslope snow across the Bear Lodge Mountains and the northern and central Black Hills. Highest snow amounts will be from the Lead and Deadwood areas to O`Neill Pass and south to the Four Corners area. The latest road conditions can be obtained by calling 511.
