*WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 8 PM MST SUNDAY TO 6 PM MST MONDAY*
WHAT: Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 10 inches.
WHERE: In Wyoming, the Wyoming Black Hills. In South Dakota Dakota, the Northern Black Hills and the Central Black Hills.
WHEN: From 8 pm MST Sunday to 6 pm MST Monday.
IMPACTS: Travel could be very difficult. Patchy blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS: A Winter Storm Warning for snow means severe winter weather conditions are expected. This will create dangerous conditions. The latest road conditions may be obtained by calling 511.
More Information: A winter storm system will bring snow to northeast Wyoming and western South Dakota tonight through Monday. Snow amount of greater that 6 inches are expected across portions of northeast Wyoming plains, The Bear Lodge Mountains, and the northern to central Black Hills. Lesser amounts are expected along the northern and eastern foothills. Snow will begin this evening and continure through Monday morning. Snow will gradually decrease through Monday afternoon, but could linger across portions of the northeast Wyoming plains through Monday afternoon and evening.
